Nancy Valle

Nancy Valle is a visual artist and educator who lives in Rochester, NY. She has exhibited widely and maintains a working studio and gallery in downtown Rochester. Her experience as an educator included teaching visual arts at the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels, as well as leading professional development workshops for teachers and art
workshops for adults in the community.
Nancy works experimentally in a wide range of media. She is currently working in printmaking. Monotype has allowed her to build layers of transparent color, texture, and depth to create the image. Nancy’s studio and gallery in Rochester reflects her experiences in many art forms, and includes work in painting, printmaking, sculpture, metals, glass, and
ceramic art.
Nancy has widely exhibited in the region. She recently won Best of Show in the Printmakers of Rochester exhibit at RIT in June, 2023. Highlights from an extensive exhibit history include the ,“Best of Show” award in the juried exhibit “Made in NY 2001” in Auburn, NY and was consequently awarded a solo ceramic sculpture show at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn. Her ceramic sculpture, “Unearthing” from the exhibit “Craft in Western New York” was purchased for inclusion in the permanent collection at the Burchfield-Penney Art Center, Buffalo, NY. Her sculpture, garden vessels, tiles, metal-smithing, glass jewelry, paintings and prints are included in many private collections
